Val worked in various parts of Southern Africa as a safari guide and game farm manager. For the past few years he has operated as a full time safari guide instructor where he shared his passion to the next generation of safari guides. To this day he still shares his knowledge with conservation teams and anti-poaching organisations where he conducts specialised training in dangerous game behaviour and animal tracking. Val’s passion lies in exploring the wild places of Africa on foot and creating unforgettable adventures along side likeminded people. Together with wildlife tracking certifications he carries some of the higher qualifications within the guiding industry under the FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa) system and holds the Green GCF Ranger Beret.

Michael’s passion for wildlife began at a young age and has shaped a lifelong career dedicated to conservation. He has managed several safari lodges, guided across multiple provinces in South Africa, and contributed to critical conservation projects focused on some of Africa’s most endangered species. Michael finds fulfilment in sharing his knowledge and experiences, leading conservation-based activities that not only inspire but also educate. His mission is to deepen public understanding of wildlife conservation and to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our natural heritage.
